DETERMINING VEHICULAR LOADS OF STEEL TRUSS BRIDGES BASED ON BWIM SYSTEMS
A BWTM method is developed for determining vehicular loads of steel truss bridge by investigating the shape of structural influence line and monitoring the strain history of members. It is available for identifying bridge vehicles number,weights,and positions precisely when the traffic density is not high,which is proved by the practical project. And it can also be used to obtain equivalent point loads even if the traffic density is high,which is important for obtaining load spectrums in evaluating the residual lives of bridges.
