DYNAMIC RESPONSE OF SLOPE SUPPORTED BY FRAME STRUCTURE WITH PRE-STRESSED ANCHOR RODS UNDER EARTHQUAKE

Frame structure with pre-stressed anchor rods has been widely applied for treatment on slopes of railway and highway since it can sufficiently adjust and improve soil strength and stability. Using the software ADINA,a 3-D nonlinear Finite Element model was proposed to analyze dynamic response of slope supported by frame structure with pre-stressed anchor rods with respect to interaction and coordinating work between soil and supporting structure. The calculating results indicated that axial force of the anchor rods, horizontal displacement of slope surface, acceleration and earth pressure as well as internal force of frame would increase obviously during earthquake; the peak axial forces might occur the most dangerous slip plane of slope; peak horizontal displacements and accelerations would appear at the top of slope; the maximal earth pressure and frame internal force would exist in the middle-bottom of slope; anchor action between soil mass and anchor rods would grow greatly with the increasing earth pressures. Frame structure with prestressed anchor rods is of advantage to resisting seismic force.
