DIRECT DISPLACEMENT-BASED SEISMIC DESIGN FOR RC FRAME WITH CONSIDERING THE INFLUENCE OF HIGH MODES
According to the response spectrum defined by Chinese current Code for Seismic Design of Buildings, and choosing appropriate relationship of Ry -μ-Tn,a constant ductility displacement spectrum is established. Furthermore,by reversing the modal pushover analysis process, the method can be used as a tool for the implementation of the direct displacement-based design approach, and can consider the influence of high level modes. The application of the method is illustrated by an example, which shows that,in order to reduce influence of the high level modes to lateral displacement of structure, stronger components to resist earthquake action are needed. To simplify calculation, the change of lateral displacement shape is not considered in this article.
