SEISMIC ESTIMATION ON SPATIAL GRID TUBE CFT FRAME

Spatial grid tube CFT frame is a hollow high special structure which is constructed by concrete-filled steel tube columns bonded by annularity truss and widely used in fertilizer plant. Recently,there almost have no seismic performance research on this kind of structure in our country. Taking 110 meters high,17 meters diameter typical prilling tower as engineering background,a three-dimensional elasticplastic finite element model is established and then the elasto-plastic time history analysis of the structure under rare earthquake is carried out. The deformation characteristics and plastic zone distribution on beams and columns of the structure is educed. Using Push-over method,the static elastoplastic analysis of the structure is carried out and the static and dynamic damage mechanical characteristics are compared. The results show that this kind structure has a good seismic performance. This paper also advances some earthquake-resistance methods which can be used in the design of the similar structures.
