COMPARATIVE ANALYSIS OF FIBER-REINFORCED BEARINGS AND TRADITIONAL STEEL-REINFORCED BEARINGS
This paper presents a new type of low-cost isolation device - fiber-reinforced bearings. It use fiber layer instead of the steel plate of the traditional steel-reinforced bearings. It has the advantage of lightweight,low-cost,convenience installation and simple production process. That is why it is very applicable to rural housing. This paper describes experimental and theoretical study of the fiberreinforced bearings.The differences of mechanical properties of the fiber-reinforced bearings and traditional steel-reinforced bearings are described in this paper. In addition,the isolation effects of the two bearings when applied to engineering are presented.
