One LNR-D1100 isolator is analyzed by FEM program in this paper,which is applied by press-shear load. The press load is designed as regular service load,such as 10MPa pressure,shear load is loaded by the standard displacement,which is equal to 100% shear deformation. Distribution of stresses of inner steel of isolator in the plane and along the height direction are discussed in detail. Core uploading area effect plays very important role in the distribution of normal stresses of inner steels,the maximum absolute value of normal stresses will occur at the uppermost and lowermost layer,the minimum absolute value of normal stresses will occur in the middle part. With horizontal displacement increasing,the maximum value of principal stresses of inner steel lying at the uppermost and lowermost layer will increase more fast than those of the middle part,especially principal stresses behave as tension should be paid more attention. Shear modulus of inner rubber have little effect on the principal stresses of inner steels.
