ANALYSIS ON DAM SEISMIC DAMAGE PATTERN BY STRENGTH REDUCTION METHOD
In order to get the dams earthquake damage pattern,finite difference reduction method were been carried on the dam response of seismic. Through the method of input an acceleration pulse witch simulation of earthquake behavior in a free field boundary,get the peak power in different parts of dam. Equivalent peak power were been attached to the dam model for strength reduction,the dams earthquake damage pattern were been judged by the distribution of plastic region,nephograms of shear strain increment and the displacement mutation,the simulation results compared with real damage of Dongzigou dam witch damaged in Wenchuan earthquake is well. The results indicate that the finite difference reduction method applied in seismic analysis of dams and provides a new mean for dams seismic design.
