The Progress of Scientific Data Sharing Platform Construction in China & its Development Suggestions
As fundamental resources, scientific data play important roles in the progress of scientific research. Generic scientific data belong to the public domain;as a result, many developed countries and international organizations carried out computer network based scientific data sharing research and practices to promote scientific data sharing and reuse. China also launched a series of scientific data sharing projects in the last decade, they benefic the domestic scientific communities;however the constructed platforms status and future development path need a close study. Through an indepth study on scientific data sharing platform, this paper summarizes the status of Chinese scientific data sharing platform development, especially the four stage of development in China, pointing out that scientific data portal is a very important stage for scientific data sharings future development at present. In terms of specific construction details, the paper then analyzes foreign key trends in scientific data sharing platform, focus on the data resources construction, platform architecture, new technology system etc., and provides suggestions for the construction and future development of Chinas scientific data sharing platform.
