Study on high efficiency and rapid propagation system of sweetpotato germplasm with different characteristic of stem-length

Sweet potato virus-free test tube plantlets with different characteristic of stem-length were cut into segments,and then the segments were inoculated in different MS media supplemented with IAA, NAA,GA3,NAA/KT or NAA/6-BA,respectively,to study the rapid-propagation technology. The results were as the following:MS medium was the optimal basic medium for rapid-propagation. MS + 0. 01-0. 05mg/L NAA+1.0 mg/L 6-BA was better than others for rapid-propagation of different stem-length varieties. This medium and MS+ IAA at 0.2-1.0 mg/L were particularly effective in promoting rapid-propagation of middle-stemmed and short-stemmed varieties.
