Effects of potassium application stage on photosynthetic characteristics and yield of sweetpotato
Potassium fertilizer could improve actual photochemical efficiency of PSⅡ (φPSⅡ),photosynthetic rate and leaf area duration in functional leaves of sweetpotato. It also could increase biomass, improve dry matter distribution rate in storage root. Storage root thickening rate and yield were significantly increased as well. Applying potassium as basal dressing or top cover fertilizer had comparatively better effect on yield,with the higher ratio of big tuber and dry matter contents compared with the control. Applying potassium as basal dressing to Jishu NO. 23 showed the best effect on yield, leading to an increasing by 26.09% ,while applying potassium once as top cover fertilizer,half as basal dressing and half as top cover fertilizer to Lushu NO. 8 increased the yield by 11.93% and 10.53% respectively.
