Effect of different film mulching on growth and development of sweetpotato

In order to select the best coating method,we compared the impact of three different mulching, black film,white film and non-coated,on soil temperature and humidity,porosity,and growth dynamics of vines and roots in the process of sweetpotatos growth and development. The results showed that soil porosity was different between the coated and noncoated;coating can loosen the soil and play a role in soil moisture retention,and provide a good environment for the sweetpotatoes. Compared to white film, the ground temperature under the coverage of black film can be controlled within the range more suitable for enlargement of sweetpotato, and the growth of weed can be inhibited under the film. The yield of sweetpotato covered by black film is the highest,the white film second,and no film the lowest. This suggests that in the process of growth and development of sweetpotato coating can improve the yield,and the black film mulching technology is better than the white film mulching technology. Collectively,the black film mulching technology should be vigorously promoted in potato cultivation.
