Sensitivity of Monilochaetes infuscans to high temperature and different fungicides
The lethal temperature of Monilochaetes infuscans were tested in vitro. The pathogen did not produce new mycelia and spore after the treatments at 53℃ for 5min or 50℃ for 10min. Sweetpotato tubers were first inoculated with M. infuscans and incubated for 7day before the symptom appears, then treated in water bath at 50℃ for 15min and 20min,at 51℃ for 10min,15min and 20min,at 52℃ for 10min,15min and 20min,or at 53℃ for 10min,15min and 20min respectively. M. infuscans could be e-radicated by all these treatments without affecting the tuber sprouting. The sensitivities of M. infuscans to different fungicides were evaluated with minimum inhibition concentration (MIC) assay. The MIC of fludioxonil on the fungus was 1 μg ? mL~-1 ,the lowest one among the fungicides tested. Fludioxonil gave the highest preventive effect in vivo while triazole fungicides including flusilazole, triadimefon and myclobutanil were more efficient on M. infuscans for curative effect than other fungicides tested.
