Case studies in Greece for the valorization of Bayers process bauxite residue: aggregates, ceramics, glass-ceramics, cement and catalysis

摘要：

A variety of uses for Bayers process bauxite residue has been investigated the previous years in a collaborative scheme between University of Patras and Aluminium of Greece. Efforts have been primarily directed for the production of high-volume building materials, i.e. aggregates, ceramics, cement, although other, higher added-value applications have been also investigated, i.e. glass-ceramics and catalysis. In this work, a summary is presented.
