An extrapolation method of guidance instrument error for short-range test ballistic trajectory

Because of various limitative conditions, employing a large number of full range flight tests to estimate intermediate-long-range missile guidance instrument error was impossible. Ballistic trajectory extrapolation method with the short-range test ballistic data was adopted to calculate the shutdown point parameter deviation which was caused by the full range ballistic trajectory instrument error. Instrument error models were used to analyze the basic condition of ballistic trajectory extrapolation, and then least-squares method with telemetry and tracking data from trajectory calculation was adopted to obtain the shutdown point parameter deviation. The impact point deviation of full range ballistic trajectory was analyzed. The simulation results show that this method could obtain well extrapolation effect.
