Contour-Based Image Representation by Hierarchical Structure

摘要：

An approach for image representation using contour based hierarchical structure is presented. The edges of the color or gray image was extracted firstly, and the contours of the edge map was obtained successively and the hierarchical structure of contours was organized, finally, the image structure will be represented by the hierarchical structure tree. Experiments show that the method can be used in representing the image of multiscale and make the subsequent image processing more effective.
