Fuzzy Logic Based Audio Signal Processing for an Intelligent Volume Controller
This paper describes a basic concept for designing an intelligent volume controller that can simultaneously control the volume levels of multiple devices. The controller receives inputs from various audio sources present in a room or a given space, analyses the signals and makes an intelligent decision taking into consideration several user defined preferences and sends out corresponding control signals to the intended devices. The controller can be wired or wirelessly connected with the rest of the devices. This paper particularly demonstrates the use of fuzzy logic based technique to do the audio signal processing using differential signal analysis for controlling the volume and maintaining the decibel level of the space. Simulation results are provided at the end to augment the concept.
