Trilateration-based Positioning Via Filtering Method
Position of an object is a significant subject in many application areas. In this paper, a positioning algorithm based on the chirp spread spectrum (CSS) ranging is introduced. Because distances measured by CSS ranging contain error induced by noise and bias, the extended Kalman filter (EKF) and a bias model are used to treat them. In particular, the bias model represents the effect of bias by multiplying some parameters with the original distances. Therefore, these parameters are regarded as weighting parameters and are obtained using the NLMS adaptive filter algorithm, which is executed along with the EKF. Through positioning experiments, the accuracy of the proposed algorithm is confirmed
