Research on Dynamic Simulation of Milling Process
In order to acquire the excellent product quality and effective cutting surface in milling process, the dynamic simulation of high-speed milling process is researched further in the paper. The simulation of milling force is the basis of the processs parameter selection and optimization. The dynamic milling forces in three directions (x, y and z axis), spindle torque and the vibrations can be calculated and compared with the actual experimental results. Based on tool-workpieces dynamic model and the related regenerative chatters theory, the chatter stability lobes of milling process are simulated exactly. The results of simulation have been tested by experiments and have been applied successfully in some practicable engineering applications.
