An acceleration algorithm of ray tracing Oriented shared memory multi-core environment
Depending on the independence and correlation between the natural parallelism of ray tracing algorithm and ray tracing task, a acceleration algorithm of ray tracing based shared memory multi-core environment is proposed with the pipelining and cache hit rate theory. Adopting those algorithms and the parallel ray-tracing algorithm respectively for computer simulation, the degree of time-consuming is compared. The theoretical analysis and the experimental results suggest that the efficient of the accelerate ray tracing algorithm based shared memory multi-core environment has been greatly improved comparing with single-core ray tracing algorithm, and the speed of operation is much faster than the traditional parallel ray-tracing algorithm, and it enjoys better performance for the speedup of the number of CPU cores.
