Modifications to g-index to improve its Discriminatory Power

摘要：

In this paper,many cases significant citation counts are wasted in computing the g-index and being an integer it often lacks discriminatory power. This paper also introduce several indices using different extension approaches. Empirical studies are provided to compare these indices in some bibliometrics rankings.
