Analysis of Network Characteristic and Community Structure of Co-authorship Network for Information Science in China

摘要：

Co-authorship network for information science in China was taken as an example in the present study. Network characteristic and community structure of co -authorship network were analyzed. Results in this study demonstrated that co-authorship network can be characterized by small world and scale-free property. Close links inside the communities were testified in the network, but links inter-communities were loose, the network presented a low-connectivity. It can be concluded from these results that enhancement of cooperation inter-communities can improve the coauthorship of information science.
