Development of Nano-biomedical Science in China: a Comparative Perspective

摘要：

We compare the research between China and the top 4 leading countries in an emerging field - nano biomedical science (NBMS) at the country level. The results show that China grows fast in NBMS according to its publication counts, but has relative low impact by analyzing the citation and high -cited journals. The interdisciplinary characteristics show that NBMS is largely interactive with chemistry and physics and Chinese NBMS is more interdisciplinary than the other prolific countries. Information and knowledge are provided for the relevant policy-makers and people interested.
