Overview of China University Rankings
This paper summarized Chinese university rankings at home and abroad. Since 1987 the first university ranking was published in China, there were about more than 20 Chinese university rankings made by over 20 institutes at least, such as The assessment of China Universities made by Shulian discussion group from the Scientific Research Institute of China Academy of Management Science; China University Ranking made by Netbig Co. Ltd (China); China university ranking made by China alumnus association; the Ranking of Evaluating the Comprehensive Competitive power of Chinese Universities made by the Research Center for Chinese Science Evaluation of Wuhan University; and the Academic Ranking of World Universities made by the Institute of Higher Education of Shanghai Jiao Tong University. All of them now are very influential in China.
