The Utilization Law of Web Academic Information: An Exploring from the Domain Name of Web Citation
Hie study looks at how well the distribution of Web citations fits a power law or Bradford type or Garfields citation distribution law. Three sets of data were used from different disciplines. The Web citations distributions found were coherent with those described in previous experiments of power law, although the exponents are different The frequency distribution of Web citations is similar to the Garfields citation distribution curve too. The plots of accumulated clusters of Web citations, however, did not fit the typical Bradford distribution.
