China s Effort in Building World-class Agricultural University--the Case of China Agricultural University
The rise of the knowledge economy boosts higher education in competition world wide. It creates new imperatives and challenges for universities to strengthen themselves and have better development. Hie purpose of this paper is to highlight issues relating to efforts, methods and strategies in developing and constructing world-class agricultural university. This study looks specifically into China Agricultural University, evaluation the effects of 985 Project and 211 Project. Through comparative analysis and empirical analysis, it analyzes the definition of world-class university, reforms and achievements transforms though the implementation of 985 Project and 211 Project in China Agricultural University, the methods and strategies for China Agricultural University in building world-class agricultural university.
