Bibliometric Analysis of World Shrimp Research Trends
We counted 9 636 world papers on shrimps in terms of publication output as per Science Citation Index (1995-2009). Through analysis, we found that articles increased rapidly while the number of involved subjects increased slowly. The growth of the two factors very slowly during 2000-2006, and all of a sudden it peaked during 2006-2009 indicateds that research on shrimps received a major boost during this period. The average number of article output were 642.4 per year. The degree and ratio of author collaboration was increasing. 136 subjects were researched and generally be divided into 15 categories, then we found out the situation of subjects which related to shrimps science distribution and integration.
