Trends of Journals and Institutes in Shimps Research Output in SCI Between 1995 to 2009
This paper attempts to highlight quantitatively the growth and development of world literature on shrimps in terms of publication output as per Science Citation Index (1995 2009). The purpose of the study is to evaluate the research in shrimps over the 15 years. From 1995 to 2009, the quantities of articles, journals and institutes had been developing rapidly. 9636 articles were analysed in this article. These papers were published by the scientists in the field shrimp or prawn or penueus. We found that the number of shrimps journals increased as the literatures. The growth of institutes was very slow during 1995-1998, and peaked during 1999-2007. We list the front 20th journals by the embody papers. frequent cited ,IF and by instant index. The most preferred journals by the scientists is Aquacuiture with 846 papers. We collected the data showed institutes consist of universities, companies, R&D institutes and some others. We found the proportion of these components in the figure as well as the variation of total institutes research shrimps science every year. We list the front 30th institutes highly productive. CSIRO which from Australia output 266 articles in shrimps research, its the highliest productive Institutie.
