Heterologous expression of cellulase genes in Trichoderma reesei

Background: The decomposition of cellulose needs cellulase which is an enzymes complex consisting of at least endoglucanase (EC 3.2.1.4), cellobiohydrolases (EC 3.2.1.91), and betaglucosidase (EC 3.2.1.21). Trichoderma reesei is a well-known cellulase producer and widely applied in cellulase industry. To further enhance its ability to decomposing cellulose, the activities of betaglucosidase and endoglucanase in the enzymes complex produced by T. reesei need be improved.
