Mechanism of protein folding by prefoldin and group II chaperonin system
Molecular chaperones are ubiquitous proteins that are required for the correct folding, transport, and degradation of proteins within the cell. Molecular chaperones can protect normative polypeptides from forming aggregates and can provide them with an appropriate environment in which they can fold properly.
