Hofmeister effects on biocatalysis in aqueous and ionic liquid systems

摘要：

Ionic liquids (Ils) are organic salts remaining as liquids under ambient temperatures. Interests in using them as a new type of solvents for biocatalysis have been increasing rapidly because of their abilities of presenting excellent enzyme performance121. In order to take full advantage of this new solvent type, a thorough understanding about the effect of Ils on enzymatic performance is necessary.
