The Design of Ka-band Slot Taylor Circular Arrays Antenna
Theory, synthesis procedure, and implementation of the two dimensional Taylor Slot Array are demonstrated. As sampling the continuum distribution of the antenna exciting current will degrade the radiating pattern, the circular arrays have a much more slight degrade of the radiating pattern. The performances of the two dimensional Taylor Slot circular array with 136 slots in the ka-band at the center frequency of 30 GHz are demonstrated. A less than 1.67dB input voltage standing-wave ratio (VSWR) with the band width of 500MHz is achieved. At the center frequency 30 GHz, the main beam is 29.08 dB with the 24.59 dB sidelobe level of the H-plane and 24.63 dB sidelobe level of the E-plane.
