Application of Meta-synthesis Method in Project Management of Large-scale Complex Projects

摘要：

Complexity theory and Meta-synthesis method are respectively the fundamental theory and methodology of engineering management of large-scale complex projects. Overall Project Management, an innovative model designed for 2010 Shanghai World Expo, acts as the carrier of Meta-synthesis method. Based on the analysis of complexity of Expo projects and the root causes, this article elaborates the background to the introduction of Overall Project Management in Expo projects and its positioning, significance, organization, implementation and service contents.
