A Review and Prospects on Collaborative Ontology Editing Tools
Building ontology is a fundamental but also hard work. Advanced and mature editing tools can make the ontology construction process more consistently and efficiently. This paper summarizes the latest development in collaborative ontology construction, and studies on the architectures and functionalities of the following three collaborative ontology editing tools: AGROVOC Concept Server Workbench (ACSW), Collaborative Protege and WebProtege. We make some comparison among them from several aspects, and also make some prospects for the -_. i further improvement of ontology collaborative editing tools to be more useful in practice. Finally, we propose that it is a good way for information experts and domain experts to building agricultural domain ontology with these tools collaboratively and simultaneously.
