Analyzing Quality Management Status Quo and Relationship of Food Industry in China
Using ISO9000 series standards and the excellence performance model of China, we design a survey questionnaire to investigate quality management status quo of food industry in China. Through questionnaire investigation and statistical analyses, we find the quality management status quo of largescale enterprises are better than that of mediumscales and small-scales, while medium-scale enterprises are better than small-scale ones in many aspects. Moreover, we analyze the relationships among system factors, processes factors and results factors, then find that the most important factors for food industry in China to improve product quality are leadership, basic management, information and measurement, design and development, manufacturing and inspection and distribution and service. We also find that the distribution and service is the only factor that affects product quality directly. For food safety respect, the improvement scopes are to enhance government supervision, communicate safety information among food supply chains, and reprimand illegal behavior rigorously.
