A NOVEL INTER-CELL INTERFERENCE MITIGATION SCHEME FOR DOWNLINK OF LTEADVANCED SYSTEMS
CoMP (Coordinated Multiple Points) is an effective technique to deal with ICI (Inter-Cell Interference), which is the main constraint for the performance of LTE-Advanced (Long Term Evolution) system. Through coordination among cells, ICI can be largely avoided even mitigated and thus the cell edge as well as the average performance will be improved. In our scheme, users and frequency are both divided into two parts, which are cell edge and cell center. On cell edge spectrum, cooperation and joint procession are adopted among BTSs to mitigate inter-cell interference, improve SINR and increase cell edge user data rate. While on cell center spectrum, traditional transmission mode is adopted to cell center users. Effect of resource allocation scheme is analyzed in this paper. And performance analysis as well as system level simulation results are also given in this paper. These results show that, compared with traditional LTE systems, the novel transmission scheme proposed can greatly increase cell edge data rate while maintaining the average cell data rate.
