A Simulation Approach For Mitigating Vibration and Noise of Switched Reluctance Motor with A Novel Rotor Structure

This paper presents a rotor structure of switched reluctance motor aiming mitigating vibration and noise by fine tuning the conventional rotor structure to improve the distribution of radial force. The analysis procedure of the proposed motor structure is realized with the use of analytical computation and finite element parametric simulation. Radial force and torque profiles of the conventional switched reluctance motor and proposed switched reluctance motor are compared with each other under both singlephase excited mode and double-phase excited mode. And it is verified that with double-phase excited mode, the output torque is ensured while the radial force is reduced effectively. It has been verified in the experiment studies that motor with the proposed structure has the advantage of Y- asynchronous motor with same grade both in noise and vibration.
