Filtration Technology-An Effective Way to Improve Quality of Heavy Iron Castings
Higher quality is required to heavy iron castings in recent years, so that strict control of casting defect is necessary. The most common casting defect is inclusion. Filtration technology is a very effective way to eliminate this defect, and the technology has been applied to more and more heavy iron castings. Filtration technology for heavy iron castings is discussed in this paper: filtration mechanism, parameter of design, some points for attention, application examples, etc.
