Foundry Technology Design and Optimization of Exhaust Manifold Castings
Almed at the special cases of much isolated hot-spot and impossible to set risers of exhaust manifold. the CAE software is applied to predict the position of shrinkage and shrinkage porosities defects; proportional solidification technology is applied to design pouring system and risers feeding system. The wide. thin. short and declining riser neck is the key technology of sufficiently self-feeding by using graphite self-expansion. After optimization of process parameters. effectively overcome the manifold shrinkage defects. significantly increase the rate of melting iron use and good parts. and achieve significant economic benefits.
