Study on the Thermoelectric Fields of ESRC Processes
Finite element method (FEM) analysis is used to study the thermoelectric fields for ESRC Processes, and the analysis variables include the temperature, the electric potential and the current. Through theoretical study and comparison of the real electric power and the amount of slag, it is found that under the conditions of the similar power and the similar amount of slag, the highest temperature of mold is near the slag-mold surface. The shallower the electrode intervenes into the slag (larger pole distance) , the higher the temperature near the mold is. The temperature between the slag shell and the mold changes promptly, and Quality castings can be got with different rational conditions.
