Two Casting Technologies with broad Application Prospect
After 50years of casting practice. in comparation in aspects like excellent quality. economy. easement and environmental protection. The author believes that these two outstanding technologies have a vast application prospect for the present casting industry. One technology is the improved sodium silicate sand with high quality. reduced cost and zero-drAlnage of waste sand and waste water. It can vastly reduce the soluble glass addition of carbon dioxide gas hard sand. clearly improve the collapsibility and the reproducing property of the wet process. recycle the waste water of the wet reclamation after treatment. so as to realize zero drAlnage of waste sand and water. lnaddition , by using the unique methods and feeder. it has enormously rAlsed the molding rate. the rate of metal use. the quality of the cast as well as the. qualification rate. so that the integrated costs of the casting do not exceed that of the average moist sand cast production. The second one is the low pressing casting technology with a certAln amount of new characteristics. Problems in traditional low pressure casting technique like the short life span of the liter liquid tubes. troubles in supplementing metal fluid. low producing rate. low production efficiency. complex level control system and unsuitability for mass production of small parts have been overcame and the application scope of low pressure casting has been greatly broadened. The article introduces the basic techniques. interrelating materials. technological equipments of the two technologies above. and the situation and effect of some users.
