Resistivity fluctuation of PS/Graphite nanosheets nanocomposites during the extrusion
INTRODUCTIONNaturally abundant graphite is an idea candidate to incorporate conduction to polymer composite in a cost effective way, for its good electrical conductivity of 104 S/cm at ambient temperature. However, the conventional graphite particles of micron-scale commonly lead to material redundancy and mechanical detriment when the polymer becomes conductive sufficiently. Thus, for the production of conductive polymer composite, the graphite content must be as low as possible and still allows the composite to fulfill its electrical requirement. Being superior to the traditional graphite, graphite nanosheets (GNs) with 30 to 80 nm of thickness proposed recently has attracted lot attentions in recent years, and becomes a leading nanoscale additive in research of conductive nanocomposite systems 1-3.
