Effect of montmorillonite on the flammability performance of ramie fiber reinforced poly (lactic acid)(pla) composites
INTRODUCTION Recently, biocomposites made by biodegradable natural fibers and biodegradable polymers have raised great attention due to their acceptable mechanical properties and environmental benefits such as biodegradability, less greenhouse gas emissions, and renewability1. They can be applied to various applications for making automotive parts, building components, and aircraft interior parts2. For these applications flammability performances are highly required, improvement of flammability properties of these biocomposites becomes more and more important.
