Synthesis and catalytic characterization of mesoporous al-containing silica with particle size controlled using dimethyl formamide

INTRODUCTION Mesoporous materials such as M41S 1 play an important role as catalyst supports due to their high specific surface area, uniform and controllable pore size and easy modification. These properties are also desirable in many other fields 2. Researchers have mainly focused on aperture modulation, morphology control and surface modification 3. Because of the requirements posed by applications in adsorption, separation, and catalysis, the synthesis of the mesoporous materials with uniform and controllable particle size is also an important challenge.
