Antireflective and Superhydrophilic Coatings Based on Mesoporous SiO2 Nanoparticles

INTRODUCTION Mesoporous materials, especially mesoporous silica, have attracted great attention these years. Due to their high porosity and special surface morphology, mesoporous materials have become promising precursors in many application fields, such as low dielectric constant thin layer, antireflective coating, catalysts and absorbents 1. To obtain the porous structure, most research relies on Layer-by-Layer technique, phase separation of polymer, or sol-gel method 2-4. However, few works were reported about functional films based on mesoporous SiO2 particle, for reason that bare mesoporous SiO2 particles were unstable in organic solvents such as ethanol and dimethylformamide.
