Fabrication and performance test of Titanium Dioxide nanophotocatalytic films by electrophoretic deposition

INTRODUCTION Nanophotocatalytic film has been fabricated in many ways; but the electrophoretic deposition (EPD) method is a simple setup and inexpensive, and can easily forms films on irregularly-shaped objects 1-3. Based on the environmental awareness and tendency, the working fluid in the EPD has gradually been changed from organic solvent to water, and there are many successful examples. The water in the EPD process will produce bubbles in the deposited film, causing poor quality films. The poor quality films can be improved by adding additives and anodic deposition 4-7.
