DM-TIGER: A Database of Tissue-Specific Genes Expression and Regulatory Factors for Data Mining

摘要：

Identification and analysis of tissue-specific (TS) genes and their regulatory activities play an important role in understanding mechanisms of the organism, disease diagnosis and drug design. Uncovering how genes are regulated and expressed in different tissue is one of the most fundamental and challenging tasks for bioinformatics research. At present, systematic study how the genes highlight the tissue-specific characteristics is still in an exploratory stage, and the acquired knowledge is still partial.
