Using various reduced amino acid compositions to predict protein submitochondria locations
The subcellular location of a protein is closely correlated to its function. The Arabidopsis is the sample of plants. Thus the study of its proteins subcellular location is very important. Mitochondria play important role in animal and plants energy metabolism process, and hundreds of diseases are related to it. Recently, Du and Li11 constructed a database which consisted of three submitochondria locations, and introduced the SVM method to predict the protein location. In this study, we divided the dataset of submitochondria proteins into four locations, 101 Inmem-mlps, 30 Inmem-mtrx, 145 Matrix and 41 Otmem, respectively. The support vector machine combined with various reduced amino acid compositions and Pseudo amino acid composition is applied to predict the submitochondria location.
