TCVM DIAGNOSIS AND TREATMENT OF URINARY TRACT INFECTION AND UROLITHIASIS
Urinary tract infection (UTI) is the inflammation of the urinary passage by a bacterial infection. It includes pyelonephritis, cystitis and urethritis. In my large animal practice, I observed UTI inflammations occurred more frequently in male cattle and horses than in female cattle and horses. Mineral salts crystallize in the renal pelvis and gradually condense into urinary stones of various sizes and number in the urinary tract. The urinary tract infection and urolithiasis are characterized by frequent, short, difficult, or painful urination, or even urinary blockage, and restlessness.
