TCVM APPROACH IN EXOTIC ANIMALS: GI DISORDERS
One of the most common pathologies that we can find in our exotic patients is Gastrointestinal disorders. Anorexia is the most common, along with diarrhea or constipation. The ability to regurgitate in many exotics is impossible; therefore, the pathology to regurgitate is uncommon. The principal problem found is poor management of the exotics basic needs by many owners. People buy these creatures without a clear understanding of how to take care of them. Moreover , many owners often lack a complete understanding of the creatures basic life sustaining needs.
