BI, WEI AND LIN SYNDROME IN EXOTIC ANIMALS

Along with GI disorders, Kidney problems are the most common pathologies seen in the common exotic clinic. Its important to note that if Good acquired Essence hasnt been provided, with time the Congenital Essence becomes the only source of vital force, resulting in the appearance of Kidney Deficiencies. Pathologically, the Kidney is normally Deficient, and only in rare cases do we see an excess, normally linked to Bladder excess (Bladder Damp-heat). There exists a mutual nourishment between Kidneys and Spleen. Kidney=root of Pre-natal Jing. Spleen=root of Post-natal Jing. Pre-natal and Post-natal Qi mutually support one another, and Post-natal Jing from food replenishes Pre-natal Jing. Pre-natal Jing provides heat necessary for Transformation and Transportation. Spleen Qi deficiency is insufficient Qi produced to replenish Kidney-Jing. We can see signs as tiredness, lack of appetite, dizziness and lower back pain.
